The Comfort Zone – A Great Place to Visit, But I Wouldn’t Want to Live There
Comfort – familiar, easy, with confidence. Zone – boundaries, well-defined.
A lot of good things happen in the Comfort Zone – assurance, performance, predictability.
A lot of good things DON’T happen in the Comfort Zone – learning, testing, surprising, and yes, even failure.
Visiting the Comfort Zone can provide the opportunity to re-energize and regain confidence. Living there will produce complacency and even deterioration.
