Steve Harris is the founder and President of The People Advantage, LLC, a firm that helps leaders whose success depends on increasing the alignment<\/b> of their organizations<\/b>.\u00a0 He is an experienced business professional with a broad consulting skill set and expertise in linking the strategic needs of the business to results-producing activities.\u00a0 He excels at providing solutions that produce immediate performance improvement<\/b> and build sustainable capability<\/b> for long-term value.\u00a0 Steve\u2019s advanced understanding of organizational alignment and his ability to lead through the entire lifecycle of change (strategy to planning to execution)<\/b> form a differentiating skill set.\u00a0 His commitment to strong personal values enables him to be a trusted partner.<\/p>\n

Since the creation of The People Advantage, Steve has had the opportunity to work in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, financial services, technology, education, religion, and public service<\/b>, as well as with various business associations.\u00a0 His work has focused on projects that are important to the strategy of his clients and that call for a stronger alignment between the workforce and the direction of the organization.\u00a0 Examples include strategic planning, organizational assessment, organizational effectiveness, talent management, coaching, leadership development, and cultural alignment.<\/b><\/p>\n

Prior to forming The People Advantage, Steve worked in the financial services industry for 14 years<\/b> with National City Corporation and PNC and in the steel industry for 11 years<\/b> with The Timken Company.\u00a0 He held a variety of leadership positions in HR consulting, executive compensation, executive programs, HR M&A, pay for performance, and expatriate programs.\u00a0 While in his HR consulting roles, Steve was the HR leader for businesses that ranged from 15 to 12,000 employees.\u00a0 He served as the HR strategy expert, confidant and coach<\/b> to the business leaders, and primary point of accountability for all HR services.\u00a0 He was also a member of the business and HR executive leadership teams.<\/p>\n

Steve received his Bachelor\u2019s degree from Muskingum College, with a double major in Computing Science and Business.\u00a0 He also holds a Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration<\/b> with a Management concentration from Akron University.\u00a0 Steve has completed several continuous learning programs related to HR strategy, change management, human resource planning, and employee relations and is certified as a Senior<\/b> Professional in Human Resources<\/b> (SPHR).<\/p>\n

Steve has enjoyed many leadership opportunities in not-for-profit organizations, including schools, church, and professional organizations.\u00a0 He currently serves as the President of the Board of Trustees for the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
