The beginning of a new business cycle provides the perfect opportunity to revisit your multi-year strategy and all of the pieces of it – vision, mission, values, strategic priorities, and more – with your employees.
Give your employees an opportunity to:
- Ask questions
- Challenge the thinking
- Express their thoughts
- Demonstrate that they know how they fit into the big picture
This active involvement will allow them to re-commit (or re-sign) to the direction of the company.
Don’t take for granted that your strategy will still be fresh in their minds. Make sure it is. Clarity of direction is important for a healthy employee-employer relationship.
