The Quest for ‘Trusted’ Status
HR Leaders want a seat at the table.
CFOs want to be trusted advisors.
Public officials want to be viewed as trustworthy.
Controllers want to be influential.
Many seem to be on a quest for some version of trusted status.
And many have already achieved it. How?
They get there because of their credibility and their ability to do great work. Trusted is an outcome of what you do and how you behave. It’s not a right or the result of checking off all the boxes on some magic checklist.
Most of this is in your control. So if you want to earn it (or if you have it and you want to keep it), focus on your credibility and your ability to do valuable work and trusted will happen.
