Why We Live With ‘Broken’
Sometimes we choose to continue with things that are broken because we can’t imagine the alternative.
Sometimes the alternative is easily imagined, but we can’t muster the courage to switch to it.
Sometimes we have the courage, but the benefits of the alternative fail to exceed the pain of accepting it.
In situations where we live with ‘broken’, we should be clear about why we are doing so. Our response to each of the three reasons above can be significantly different. We may discover that our self-talk has fooled us into trying to solve the wrong issue.
